News : Cancellation of B.A./ B.Sc. NEP 2024 admission and Refund of Fees

 It is a mandatory duty of an admitted student to inform the college in case he/she intends to cancel his/her admission in this college for taking admission to another or for other reasons. Unnecessary holding of seat is liable to be considered as an offence for creating artificial crisis of seats.

Cancellation Procedure:
The students who have been admitted through WBCAP (1st phase or MOP UP phase), have to request the authority to cancel their admission by logging in to their students portal (https://wbcap.onlineadmission.org/ghc/admission_notification_UG.aspx?clgcode=BGCL) AND sending an e-mail to ugadmission@bgc.ac.in within 15/09/2024 (11.59pm). They are directed to attach their admission certificate in that mail.
The college authority may then verify the appropriateness of the cancellation request by communicating with the applicants over phone/ e-mail. Whenever the cancellation request is approved by the college (usually within three working days after lodging the request), you have to take a print out of the cancellation confirmation mail and keep it for further correspondences.

Refund of fees:
Fees except a minor cancellation charge may be refunded. The students have to give their bank details for the refunds during the online cancellation process as stated above.
