Student Welfare and Support Cell

Student Welfare and Support Cell of Barasat Government College seeks to provide support to the overall development of the students. The Cell helps the students in their academic and personal abilities.

Mission:

The Cell provides supportive and inclusive environment for all the students. It is committed to provide overall support to the students and ensure that the students have access to the necessary resources, support and guidance they need to succeed academically, financially socially and personally.

Vision:

To provide _a comprehensive competent and responsive system to facilitate a good learning environment to the students.

To arrange various Co-curriculum and extra curriculum activities, social - leadership, social programmes to inculcate responsibility among students towards the society.

To provide the financial assistance to the students by supporting them to get the government and non-government Scholarships.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To provide day to day essential support needed for academic and co-curricular activities of students.
2. To prepare and execute plan for whole sum development of the students.
3. To keep in touch with the guardian of the students.
4. To provide solutions to all sorts of grievances with regard to admission, Examinations, migration and Scholarships.
5. To arrange Full and half free ship to the financially otherwise meritorious students.
6. To help the poor students to get financial assistance from the poor fund of the college.
7. To guide the students to avail the advantage of Students Credit Card.
8. To encourage students for participation in Seminar, Workshops, Quiz, Poster, Essay, Extempore, Poem, Singing, dancing and others competitions both within and also inter college, University, State and National level.
9. To encourage students to participate in several outreach activities.
10. To encourage all the students of out college to join NSS unit and participate in several regular and special NSS activities.
