Promoting Sustainable and Eco Friendly Practices in the Campus

Located amidst the urban environment our college campus has potential importance in biodiversity conservation. Due to various anthropogenic activities our environment is subject to irreparable damage. Dumping of solid wastes and creating breeding sites for disease vectors, destruction of natural flora and fauna are the major environmental issues in urban areas. To preserve nature and prevent the negative impact on our society we need to take immediate measures. To achieve a sustainable green and clean campus an 'Environment protection and nature cell' has been formed to raise awareness among students and encourage community involvement.

Objective:

1. Our vision is to create a sustainable, environment-friendly campus and neighborhood where students will be actively engaged in protection of environment.
2. Our mission is to protect the biodiversity and educate students by developing their knowledge, skill and also to generate awareness about major environmental problems.
3. Raising awareness to improve the efficient use of resources like energy and water inside and beyond the campus.
4. Encourage students and staff to reduce and reuse of resources.
5. Effective translation of the education of sustainable development into practice.
