Sports

There is ample opportunity for the students to participate in various extra-curricular activities and various indoor and outdoor games. Competitions in different games and sports events like Annual Sports and Athletic Meet, volleyball, carom, table tennis, badminton etc. are organized every year. Students of our college regularly participate in district level Inter-College Sports meet, international Karate Championship, KBI National Karate Championships and various other competitions. Multi-gym with well-equipped facility is available for the students in the college. Beside this, the college jointly shares and manages a playground with the adjacent Govt. School. Also by virtue of being a Govt. Institution the College can avail the special sports infrastructure facilities of Vidyasagar Krirangan (Barasat Stadium) for carrying out various sports activities.

Pampa Roy 3rd year student department of Philosophy, became winner of Badminton tournament in the West Bengal Inter College District Sports Championship in January 2015.
Soumita Chakraborty 3rd year student of department of Physics, became winner of Badminton tournament in the West Bengal Inter College District Sports Championship held in January 2015.
Runu Biswas, 1st year student of department of History, became the winner of Badminton tournament in the West Bengal Inter College District Sports Championship held in January, 2015.
The achievements of Sahida Khatun Physically disabled student of the College, should be mentioned here. She has participated in Paralympics and has received State Award from the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare as ‘Role Model’ for her outstanding performance in sports.
Subir Biswas

Subir Biswas

Subir Biswas, a 2nd year student of The Dept. of Botany was awarded Bronze medal in the Black Open Kumite 18th Event of 15th K.B.I National Karate Championship, held in December, 2014 at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.

He also achieved Third position in the Kumite event in the International Karate Championship held at Meydan Theatre, Dubai on 25th April, 2014.
